Been A While!!!

It's been a long time since I've been on here.
Time has gotten away from me.
Birthdays, Children sick (taryn just got over Scarlett Fever) and I've just had my tonsils out a couple of days ago.

What's new....

~ The new catty starts July 1st.
Per ordering of them from me is $7 a catalogue.

~ Stamp club is starting in July I still have a couple spaces left if you are intersted...
Each month we get together and make 3 projects. Including learning at least 1 new technique per month
Each person in the group is required to order a minimum order of pruduct each month ($30 if we have 6 club members , $20 if we have 8 club members)
a person from the group is considered the "hostess" for the month.
In your hostess month - you receive through club, the level one hostess set of your choice and $20 in free merchandise. If you want to increase your workshop total during your month, you can host a workshop that month (we need to plan ahead if you want to do this) and/or collect outside orders from friends/family.
This will be the best way to maximize your benefits and get more free stuff.
This approach enables us to ensure everyone is getting the same hostess benefits even in months like Feb/Mar where orders increase because of Sale-A-Bration or around new catalogs.
I know it sounds all very confusing….but I have all the technical part worked out.
You will also recieve your new catalogue free.

With the release of the new catalogue comes the "Last Chance List" This it the list of things will not be carried over into the next catty.

You can view that list here

I received my preorder paper in the mail today. The new IN Colours are richer than last years. Takes some getting used to but should be good.

There are some lovely stamp sets in the new catalogue this time around as well.
Pricing has gone up on somethings, so if there was something you were holding out now might be the time.

There is a fantastic Deal on a starter kit if you are interested in becomeing a Demonstrator. The Kit has a 450 value - you can pick and choose the stamp sets you want to start with and coordinating ink/paper etc. For $249.

I started as a demonstrator because I was spending a fair amount of money each month in stampin Up product. Becoming a demonstartor gave me a chance to see the new product (sneak peeks) before anyone else and to order them ahead of time. I also always get a minimum of 20% discount on my orders. The first order you place as a demonstrator you get a 30% discount. I waited to place my first order until after I had done a workshop and with the commission from that and my 30% discount I essentially got my big shot for FREE.

If you are interested in becoming a demonstrator or would like more information feel free to contact me or you can also check out here

That's all for now.

Wedding Card

Here is a very simple and yet elegant looking wedding card that I made for a cousin's wedding this past weekend.

The picture doesn't really show it that well, but her dress is done with dazzling diamonds glitter. The inside (top picture) is done with the new embosslit die for the big shot. It embosses and cuts at the same time.

I just got home from the wedding weekend and am very tired.
Tomorrow I'll post a class that I will be doing in March. It is a birthday theme with a cupcake shaped box.

Valentine's Cards

Here is a very simple and easy valentine's card.
It is done using the Paper piecing technique, using the happy heart day stamp set.
I then used dazzling diamonds to put a little sparkle on the flowers and toe nails.

I'm off to Mt Tremblant this weekend for a wedding. Should be interesting. I weekend without my girls and hanging out with my husband's side of the family.

I'll try and still be crafty over the weekend though...

My shipment of them is due on Wednesday, so If you would like to get one, please let me know.

Right so here we go...
1st is the texturz plates that I ordered.

Here is the That's Funny stamp set. The one I wasn't able to describe but will definately be getting.

Here is the wheel that I think was made for Diana - shoes and purses I mean really...

A new thing are the stencils for wall art, fabric painting etc.
Here are a few.

Also new is the circle cutter.

Description...
Making perfect circles has never been simpler! Instead tracing a lid or jar, simply select your circle size and turn the cutting handle to get perfect circles every time—no more squiggly lines! The circles come out perfectly every time, with no jagged edges.

■ Quickly draws or cuts perfect circles
■ Adjusts to make circles from 1" to 6"
■ Easily cuts through paper and card stock
■ Large base with gripper feet ensures that tool doesn’t slip
■ Includes base, cutting handle, and adjustable drawing handle; will adjust to fit standard pen and pencil sizes
■ Blade can be replaced without touching
■ Replacement blades available (sold separately; 3 per package)
■ Works best with Glass Mat

That's all I have time to post tonight.

All of the items are now available online as well.
Go to http://melissa_cooper.stampinup.net and click on shop now to view everything. I'll get catalogues out to those that requested them as soon as I get them.

New Catalogue Order

I got to put in an order for the new catalogue on Friday.
I couldn't decide on which stamp set I wanted to buy first so instead I picked up some more things for my Big Shot.
This is a big Shot

It has different dies to cut out baskets, hearts, tags, stars, flowers, birds, snowflakes, letters etc.
Click Here to see what is currently available.

Tomorrow, when the new catalogue is officially "released" I'll post pictures of some of the new die cuts and other great things.

I purchased Texturz pads. These are pads that you run through your bigshot to create embossed paper. they are double sided so with 4 pads you get 8 patterns. It's pretty neat and I can't wait for them to get here.

Hopefully, by next order I will have picked which stamp set to get first.

I've been busy planning cards for a workshop/demonstration I am doing the beginning of February. We will do a valentine's card using an easy water colour technique, a card with the new sweet stems set and Big shot as well as a Chalkboard technique on a card.

Here is an example of the chalkboard technique

It is done with white craft ink and pastels or chalk.

If you are interested in learning any of these techniques or having a class of your own let me know.

I will also be starting a Stamp Club in April, space is still available for that as well if you are interested.

Feel free to contact me for more information. melissacooper.stampinup@gmail.com

Stamp Club

Tonight is my Stamp Club.

This is the one of the projects we will be doing tonight...

For those of you that don't know what stamp club is:

Stamp Club is a great to learn new techniques, have a fun night out and build up your stash of supplies. Once a month we get together to make two or three projects, learn a new technique, try out the latest and greatest from Stampin' Up and have a few laughs.

How it works is simple! Each month you purchase $35 in product for six months. You get a turn at being the hostess and receive the following:

A free level one hostess set
A minimum of $20 of merchandise for free
A copy of the idea book and catalog
A colour swatch ring with samples of all of Stampin' Up's exclusive colours
As a stamp club member you get to attend a monthly meeting (two days/times are open to members each month) and make your free projects! If you can't attend, I will prepare your projects "to-go" or we can arrange another mutually exclusive time to get together.

If you are interested in joining a stamp club or going to a technique class or even just a night out of card making, send me an email and we will get you started.

There's that pudgy cute bird in the bottom left.

Happy crafting while I bail out the basement.

Read this....

www.transformingbeauty.blogspot.com

This is a blog that I read by Kristy Dahms. She is the wife of a guy I was in youth group with.
I've never met her, but I read her blog.
Why?
Because what she writes is God inspired/whispered however you would like to say it. Her words speak to my heart and my soul. Her listening ear and soul, her heeding God's word and desire is something I long for every day.

I know this isn't about stamping, it is about something I find even more inspiring and hopeful of.

There are days when I am pulled to her blog and it is days when what she has written speaks to me the most and a couple times has brought me to prayer time right then and there.

My thought of the day...

I'm sorry...

I know I said I was going to post some pictures of samples from other demo's using the new Catty stuff but...

MY NEW DISHWASHER IS HERE!!!!

and I need to help install it and I have some other work to do as well.
As soon as I get it done, I will post some pics for you.
I hope you are having a great day!

Tomorrow I will snag some pictures from another demo's site to show you some of the new stuff, today I will just ramble on...

and textured plates - eeekkkkk!!! helps you do dry embossing with the big shot. a set of 6 designs for $14.25.

Get Crafty!

New Catalogue

I am anxiously awaiting the new Stampin' up catalogue. After seeing some "stolen" pictures of the release at the Leadership conference I am very excited.

There seems to be the cutest pudgy bird that I am just going to have to get. As well as some other new things. New Dies for the Big Shot, new stamps, new kits etc.

One of the new sets is Sweet Stems and you can purchase the Embosslit die to go with it.

We will be making a card similar to this one at a private class in February.
